THE CURRAGH RACECOURSE AND GAIN HORSE FEEDS LAUNCH THE 2015 GAIN RAILWAY STAKES

Gain Railway stakes 2015

We are delighted to extend our support of the Curragh Racecourse by continuing to sponsor the GAIN Railway Stakes. The Group 2 contest for two year olds takes place on Saturday 27th June, as one of the feature races on Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day. Many of our customers are deeply involved in both the racing and bloodstock industries and we see this collaboration as a unique opportunity to underpin our commitment to these sectors.

First run in 1851, the race has consistently been one of the top races of the season for some of Europe’s best juveniles and has been won in recent times by subsequent Group 1 winners including Mastercraftsman, Sudirman, George Washington and Rock of Gibraltar. The Richard Hannon trained Kool Kompany landed the race last year and has been competing at the highest level since his victory in the GAIN Railway Stakes.

Speaking at the launch on Tuesday, Ger Lyons said:

“The GAIN Railway Stakes is a top quality race – I hope to have a runner, would love to have the winner!”

Paul Hensey, Curragh Racecourse General Manager commented:

“We have enjoyed a long and very successful partnership with GAIN and their team have been a pleasure to work with. I hope many of their customers will attend what promises to be a momentous race day featuring the 150th running of the Irish Derby”.

We are currently running competitions to win tickets for the Irish Derby so be sure and check out our competition page.
