The GAIN Mares Final in Ballynoe on St. Patrick’s Day became the richest point- to- point race ever run in Ireland. A fantastic crowd turned out to watch this epic final in which 11 mares went to post. GAIN customer Robert Tyner provided the first two home with the Derek O Connor ridden Simple Steps leading Millie Decourcey home followed by Paul Kiley’s Inchiquin High in 3rd. Glanbia Chairman Liam Herlihy and GAIN Horse Feeds Business manager Michael Phillips were on hand to present the winning trophy to the Don’t Tell The Wife Syndicate who received just over 4k for first prize.

The lucky winner of our Racing FM Live competition which has been running over the last number of weeks in conjunction with the GAIN Horse Feeds Point to Point Preview Show in the build up to the GAIN Mares Final on Tuesday is Evelyn Coady from Tallow, Co. Waterford who has won a tonne of GAIN Horse Feeds. Congratulations Evelyn!
