Peter Smyth wins the 7th leg of GAIN/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix League

The seventh leg of the Gain/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix League was going to prove crucial for some riders to gain points in order to bring them closer up the leader board before the Final to be held in Cavan Equestrian during their International show as next weekend sees the penultimate leg taking place in Wexford Equestrian Centre. Peter Smyth took on the challenge of jumping in both Grand Prix’s during the weekend where he gained valuable points in Portmore to leave him in second place overnight on the overall leader board coming into the show at Killossery.

Diamond’s Courage, the 10 year old mare by Courage Li, out of a King Henry dam with Peter Smyth on board were the only other pair clear in the second round in a time of 40.05 to take the top prize at the show and gaining valuable points to go into the overall lead on the GAIN/Alltech leader board.

Next weekend the penultimate leg moves to Wexford Equestrian Centre where points and placing’s could prove crucial as athletes battle it out for the final leg at the Cavan International Show.
