Law of Indices claims 2020 GAIN Railway Stakes Victory
On the 18th July, the 170th running of the GAIN Railway Stakes went to post. Seven horses were declared for the Group 2 test with 66/1 outside shot taking victory. Law of Indices fought off the short priced Lucky Vega to secure the title of 2020 GAIN Railway Stakes winner. Trained by Ken Condon, owned by Miss. C R Holmes and ridden by Chris Hayes, Law of Indices now sits with other top two year olds who have found success in the Railway Stakes. These include the 2020 2,000 Guineas winner Sisken along with Mastercraftsman, Sudirman, George Washington, Holy Roman Emperor and Rock of Gibraltar.
Lucky Vega claimed second place for Jessica Harrington Racing and Shane Foley, with Artician taking third place for trainer Paddy Twomey and jockey Billy Lee.
The feature race of the day was the Juddmonte Irish Oaks which was claimed by Ger Lyons trained, Even So, ridden by Colin Keane.
