GAIN Feeds along with Jim Bolger launch Wexford GAA sponsorship
At a special function in Wexford on Tuesday 28th Jan, Glanbia Agribusiness announced a new three year sponsorship agreement under their GAIN Feeds brand for Wexford GAA county hurling and football teams 2014 – 2016. The new sponsorship agreement will include all Wexford GAA county hurling and football teams at Senior, Under 21, Minor, Intermediate and Junior level and will be performance bonus related.
The newly designed Wexford jersey will carry the GAIN Feeds logo while all new Wexford leisure-wear including tracksuits, polos and windcheaters will carry the Glanbia Agribusiness logo.
Wexford GAA County Chairman, Diarmuid Devereux speaking at the launch of the new sponsorship said,
“I warmly welcome, on behalf of Wexford County Board, our new sponsorship arrangement with Glanbia Agribusiness and GAIN Feeds. Both our organisations are rooted in the county and are strongly linked by farming and GAA connections in each of our forty-nine Clubs. GAIN Feeds previously sponsored Senior Championships in Wexford and it’s wonderful to see a locally based company achieving the level of corporate success that enables them to now come on board as our premier sponsor.
With the huge costs now involved in running our county teams in both codes it would be impossible to prepare them without the generous support of Glanbia Agribusiness and GAIN Feeds. We are very grateful to their management for placing such trust and belief in Wexford GAA.
I also want to especially thank Jim Bolger for his hard work and help in securing the deal over recent months. Jim is beyond question the greatest Wexford sportsman of our generation and his love of place and unfaltering pride in the purple and gold has once again lifted us all when we needed it most.”
Commenting on the new sponsorship Colm Eustace, CEO, Glanbia Agribusiness said, “Glanbia Agribusiness and GAIN Feeds are delighted to sponsor the Wexford county hurling and football teams for the next three years. The Wexford sponsorship is an ideal fit for our business. Glanbia Agribusiness and the GAIN brand have deep connections with suppliers, shareholders and customers throughout Wexford. With over 1,000 farmer customers and suppliers in the county, Glanbia Agribusiness is an integral part of the Wexford rural community. We have eight branches in Ballycanew, Ballywilliam, Bunclody, Taghmon and Glanbia CountryLife branches in Campile, New Ross, Kilmuckeridge and Clonroche. In addition this sponsorship under the GAIN feeds brand is all the more relevant as the GAIN Horse Feeds range is produced at our feed mill in Clonroche, County Wexford.
I want to thank Wexford County Chairman, Diarmuid Devereux and Jim Bolger, one of the world’s leading racehorse trainers, for their help in facilitating this sponsorship and I want to wish all Wexford hurling and football county teams and managers every success in 2014. .”
Also present at the launch were two of the Glanbia’s Wexford Directors Eamon Power and John Murphy as well as Liam Dunne, Senior Hurling Manager; Aidan O Brien, Senior Football Manager; County Board Officials; a selection of senior players, management and selectors and former All Ireland winning manager Liam Griffin along with horse trainer Jim Bolger and GAIN Feeds sales and Glanbia Agribusiness staff.
