GAIN launch partnership with the world’s richest horse race
GAIN Equine Nutrition is proud to announce their partnership with the inaugural Saudi Cup 2020. The race day, known as the richest horse racing event in the world, will consist of seven races. Taking place at the King Abdulaziz Racetrack, Riyadh on the 29th February, the event offers a staggering prize fund of $29.2 million (€7.18 million).
It is no surprise that the feature race at the Saudi Cup has attracted over 140 nominations, from 60 different trainers, across four continents representing 16 countries. A full field of 14 will go to post at 5.40pm (GMT) in pursuit of claiming the coveted title. Whilst final declarations will not be available until February 25th, entries are strong with Maximum Security (USA) leading the board in the betting.
A strong international attendance has been confirmed with five entries of the 14 coming from the USA – McKinzie, Midnight Bisou, Mucho Gusto and Tacitus.
Other international entries include Magic Wand (IRL), Benbatle, Capezzano and Gronkowwski (UAE), Chrysoberyl and Golden Dream (JPN), Great Scot and Mijack (KSA).
Director of Strategy and International Racing for the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, Tom Ryan noted:
“The addition of GAIN Equine Nutrition as an official sponsor for the Saudi Cup event is a real boost to the project. They are an international brand producing premium standard products; they are a perfect fit for this world class event”.
