GAIN Equine Nutrition & Alltech sponsor the 2018 Irish Breeders Classic

GAIN Equine Nutrition and Alltech are delighted to sponsor the Irish Breeders Classic, which will take place in Barnadown, County Wexford, from Thursday August 30 to Sunday September 2, 2018. Now in its seventh year, the Irish Breeders Classic is a firm fixture in the Irish show jumping calendar, hosting the world’s richest young horse class with a prize fund of €50,000.

Along with the Irish Breeders Classic, there will be a four-year-old championship, as well as championships for 7 and 8-year-olds throughout the 4-day show. The ever-popular select foal auction will take place on Saturday, September 1st. Last year, the select foal auction received 90 entries, with a final 15 put forward for the auction.

The Irish Breeders Classic has solidified its reputation for producing talented and successful international show jumpers, including MHS Going Global, Limestone Grey, Arraghbeg Clover (Gold Medalist WBSC), Ard Ginger Pop (Silver Medalist WBSC), Killossery Kaiden (Gold Medalist WBSC) and Columbcille Gipsy (Gold Medalist WBSC) in 2017.

Ronan Rothwell, Irish Breeders Classic organiser said: “We are delighted to partner with GAIN Equine Nutrition and Alltech for the next number of years. The Irish Breeders Classic originated when I felt there was a need to develop a platform to showcase Irish bred horses to a global audience. We have had tremendous success over the last number of years. We look forward to evolving this further with GAIN Equine Nutrition and Alltech who share the same vision for the Irish Breeders Classic as we do”

Speaking on behalf of the sponsors, Neil Keane, commercial director at Alltech, commented: “Alltech is very pleased to be partnering with GAIN Equine Nutrition to support the Irish Breeders Classic this year.
