Australian Kevin McNab wins GAIN Equine Nutrition CIC** at Camphire International Horse Trials 2018
GAIN Equine Nutrition were very proud to sponsor the CIC** class at Camphire International Horse Trials this year. There was a large entry in the class, with a great international presence. There were riders from Ireland, UK, Australia and New Zealand to name a few!
Friday was dressage day with a very high standard throughout the day. New Zealand’s Jesse Campbell riding Diachello took the lead after dressage with an incredible score of 24. Kevin McNab from Australia riding Willunga and Wonham What Next came in second and third respectively.
Saturday morning saw riders complete in the showjumping phase of the class. This phase proved to be quite a challenge, with faults coming from all over the course. There was a shake-up in the placings after showjumping with Kevin McNab on Willunga leapfrogging Jesse Campbell to take the lead heading into the cross country.
The cross country phase was the final phase that the riders had to face on Saturday evening. The course set by Paul Brady was a fair test of horse and rider. Australian Kevin McNab with Willunga held onto his lead to first place after the final phase to claim first place. Cathal Daniels representing Ireland riding LEB Lias Jewel took second place with Kevin McNab riding Wonham What Next coming third.
